Wanting to be “a person like that” made me join the company
I joined this company because I admired the people at BayCurrent. When I was a student, people in consulting firms seemed like groups of model students. Although they were intelligent and wise, I didn't really encounter anyone that caught my attention as a person. I felt increasingly strongly that I wanted to be a consultant, but I was also conflicted. However, every individual at BayCurrent was attractive, interesting, and intellectual. I was drawn in by the feeling that I wanted to be a person like that, and thus, I decided to join the company.
Environments where we can take on challenges without fear of failure foster growth
BayCurrent's strong point is that work is given to people who can do it. As a result, I was able to build up my career extremely quickly even within my first year after graduating. That's what makes BayCurrent great. I actually get assigned to jobs with a lot of responsibility, to the point that it can feel like a lot to me, but that environment is stimulating and gives me the ability to grow. I chose BayCurrent because I expected an environment and opportunities like that. When I joined, it was even better than I could have imagined.
Another great thing is that all the employees are very close. The president and executives are all on the same floor with us, and it feels easy to talk to them. When I go to pitch a proposal, I sometimes go to customers with a partner or a company executive. I always get goosebumps seeing how amazing my seniors are, and I feel that I'm blessed with great opportunities to grow.
When I make a mistake, my supervisor always says "If you grew from it, it's okay." I'm continually in an environment where I can grow, and as long as I have the motivation, I always have opportunities to keep trying. I never have to be afraid of taking on challenges because no matter how many times I fail, my superior always believes in me and says things like that. Moving forward, I want to become someone who grows so quickly that it surprises my supervisor. I want to put everything I have into becoming a top-notch businessperson under the passionate, enthusiastic guidance of the seniors I respect.
Good private time leads to good work
Another great part of BayCurrent is that each employee leads a fulfilling private life. It's great to see that all of my seniors and colleagues enjoy their own hobbies. I love playing golf and sometimes play rounds with my colleagues on our days off. I feel that good personal relationships positively influence our work together.
