Career Story

Kohei Miyashita

Kohei joined the firm in 2018 after graduating from the University of Tokyo with an undergraduate degree in economics. He has been engaged in projects such as launching new businesses, change management, RPA development in the telecommunications, pharmaceutical, and securities industries.

Shohei Takagi

Shohei joined the firm in 2017 after graduating from the University of Tokyo with an undergraduate degree in engineering and working for a government agency.
He has been engaged in a wide range of projects such as M&A alliance formulation, new business development, corporate/business, brand, and digital transformation strategy formulation in industries such as energy, retail, and telecommunications.

Ayaka Terada

Ayaka joined the firm in 2016 after graduating from Keio University with an undergraduate degree in economics. She has been engaged in projects such as new business planning, business process improvement, and project management in the life and non-life insurance industries.

Global Strategy Formulation for Chemical Recycling Business by Utilizing Waste Plastic Processing Technology

Amidst the accelerating movement toward sustainability, we developed a plan for a new business that utilizes waste plastic recycling technology. We conducted initial approaches to potential overseas business partners and refined business models, forming the foundation for commercialization.

Focusing on underestimated byproduct assets, we conceived new businesses such as bioenergy production while considering SDGs trends. The firm led the refining of the business model and resolved key challenges in execution.

We formulated strategies to increase market share in the key markets of the United States and India. For the United States, we developed a strategy to compete in region-specific channels. For the Indian market, we simulated three scenarios the industry's future and illustrated how to confront potential threats.

Mid/Long-Term Business Roadmap Formulation for the Smart City Domain

Based on technological, societal, and other factors, we outlined a vision for a Smart City in the near future. Focusing on key concepts such as the circular economy, we defined a roadmap and solutions that the client could offer.

Operation - Global SCM -

Reform of Global Supply Chain Management Centered on Manufacturing Sites

We fundamentally restructured the supply chain (up- and downstream), from collaborations between bases in different countries to the way business is conducted in the field. By doing this, we were able to not only improve operational efficiency, but also reform the cost structure.

Technology - Future IT -

Next Generation IT System Conceptualization

The project team outlined a vision of the mission-critical system that the client aimed to have in 10 years, and identified high priority issues in the gap between the As-Is and To-Be, as well as the technologies that should be used. We closely cooperated with the client to finalize the concept, which involves large, long-term investment, and to reach consensus with senior management.
