Environment where you can grow and stretch yourself far
The environment at BayCurrent allows employees to take on any challenge, regardless of their age or position, as long as they're spirited and active. Even though I'm still young in terms of social standing, I feel that I've been entrusted with a position of responsibility.
Rather than just moving up to a higher consultant position, I want to become a consultant that can do everything from making proposals to taking orders, all the way to providing actual support. I have had the opportunity to take the lead on proposals with my supervisor's support because I expressed that desire enthusiastically. I realized the privilege of being in this environment, where each employee's career will be supported as long as they're moving proactively.
Of course there are challenges and hard times, but I feel motivated by the fact that it's up to me to stretch myself how I want to, and my daily life is fulfilling.
Leading a smart city project using cutting-edge digital technology
I'm currently working on a major company's smart city project. We're supporting the realization of the cities of the future by putting our client's AI, VR, and other technologies to use. We're aiming to be adopted for the Super City project the government is calling for by materializing business concepts that grasp the latest trends, like the metaverse and process economy, but working to turn a city into a future city is easier said than done. There are a multitude of skills that need to be honed, such as coordination skills to manage large numbers of stakeholders, interpersonal skills to work with clients' managerial staff, and knowledge of cutting-edge technology to hold your own with clients. While such a difficult project feels rewarding, of course, I'm most excited about the possibility that the outcomes of my labor could actually become a city and change our lives. I believe that I can have such a rare experience because I work for BayCurrent, which supports leading companies that represent Japan.
BayCurrent's people are an irreplaceable asset
Another great thing about BayCurrent is how close the employees are. This large company employs over 2,500 people, but even as a young person, I have many opportunities to interact with executives and partners. I also sometimes get personal career advice during private meals, in addition to getting it at work. That makes me feel that BayCurrent has been able to grow so far because of its people. Especially because there are no products in consulting firms, everything is about people. The employees at BayCurrent aren't just excellent, they're also attractive in a way that makes you respect them as people. I also want to continue improving both abilities and character as one such employee.
