Changing careers from a general trading company out of curiosity
I was involved in overseas chemical sales for five years at my previous position in a general trading company. While there, I was able to put myself in a global environment and conduct large-scale business in the range of several billion yen to tens of billions of yen. I also attended many drinking sessions with my wonderful colleagues and clients, so I had a lot of fun in my general trading company days. However, I've always been a very curious person, and I also felt that I was working a bit aimlessly and wanted to do more related to new business development and use my intelligence to work more efficiently. So, I moved to BayCurrent Consulting in 2017.
Working hard together with clients to the finish line
When I was a student, consulting seemed very cold and dry to me. I have often heard about consulting firms that tend to develop strategies and then refuse to take responsibility for how things go after their strategy proposals, but BayCurrent gives clients hands-on, courteous support even after strategy development. I think that kind of human warmth is the attractiveness of BayCurrent. All the colleagues I work with are truly warm people, and it feels easy to exchange opinions or chat frankly with each other regardless of company positions.
Bringing back knowledge and experience while aiming for further growth
Having been a part of many projects, I've been asked to train new and young employees in addition to my role as a consultant. When I first joined the company, I felt very lost in the work environment because it required more efficiency and deeper insights than I had expected, and I struggled for a while. However, I always got courteous advice from respectable senior employees, and I'm now able to take on management roles in projects. I'm still developing, of course, but I want to focus more on training new and young employees so I can help many people grow as consultants even just a bit faster, and contribute to BayCurrent's growth and further contributions to clients.
