After graduating from Waseda University, she worked at a major Japanese pharmaceutical company before joining Baycurrent in 2023. After supporting a new business launch project in the aviation industry, she took maternity and childcare leave and has since been engaged in planning initiatives to expand mid-career recruitment.

Why Baycurrent?

I wanted to build on the expertise I had gained in the pharmaceutical industry while expanding my experience across different industries and business domains. Baycurrent's One Pool system stood out to me because it provides opportunities to take on a wide variety of projects and shape my career without being confined to a specific industry. That was one of the main reasons I decided to join the firm.

Career Vision

Regardless of the environment or role I am in, I want to consistently uphold a strong professional mindset, staying committed to outcomes and to delivering meaningful value to clients. At the same time, I want to embrace changes in my life stage in a positive way, balance parenting and work, and shape my career with flexibility by making the best choices in each situation through open dialogue with those around me.

Driving a New Business Launch by Orchestrating Diverse Workstreams

One of the projects that has left the strongest impression on me since joining the company was supporting the launch of a new business for an airline client. The client was planning to launch a new e-commerce marketplace, and I joined the project as a PMO. My role involved driving the project forward across a wide range of workstreams, including identifying and recruiting marketplace vendors, developing the promotional strategy, designing the UI/UX for the EC site, and coordinating with system development vendors to support the platform build.
The biggest hurdle was that I did not have an IT background. To drive the project as a PMO, I needed to understand the system in order to contribute meaningfully to discussions. There were many moments when I struggled to keep up. In addition, as I had only recently become a consultant at the time, the level of expectations from my manager often felt extremely high. Looking back, however, I realize that it was simply the standard expected of a true professional.

Learning the "Fundamentals of Professionalism" Through Tough Expectations

The most important lesson I gained through this project was what a strong professional mindset truly means. Rather than merely delivering what is requested, Baycurrent expects consultants to work with the mindset that they should understand the system even better than the client. That consistent focus on communicating from the other person's perspective, choosing words that are easy to understand rather than relying on technical jargon, reflects the high bar of professionalism here.
The professional mindset and the ability to drive things forward by engaging the right people, both of which I developed through this experience, continue to serve me well in my current role in mid-career recruitment.

Private Life

In my private life, I often spend weekends going out with my family. My son loves being active, so we usually start the day at the park, where he runs around with endless energy. As a parent, I quietly hope that one day he might pursue his dream of becoming a soccer player.
