While I found my non-life insurance sales role at my previous company highly rewarding, I gradually developed a stronger desire to take greater ownership of my career and broaden my opportunities, which led me to consider changing jobs.
At that time, a close former colleague had already moved to Baycurrent and was thriving. Through our conversations, I felt the culture would be a strong fit for me, and so I decided to join.
After coming on board, I have repeatedly seen how positive and forward-looking people are here, an initial impression that has since become a firm conviciton.

My goal is to become a trusted professional who can support clients’ businesses by leading end-to-end, from strategy and concept development through execution and implementation and even decision-making with operations in mind.
Since joining Baycurrent, I have taken on a new challenge in the field of cybersecurity. I am committed to developing this area as one of my core pillars of my expertise and I am currently working hard to further strengthen my capabilities in this area.

Since joining Baycurrent, the most memorable experience for me has been a cybersecurity strategy and planning project for a major financial institution. What makes this project particularly compelling is the opportunity to contribute at the core of an organization known for one of the highest security standards in Japan. I feel I am directly exposed to the front lines of cybersecurity in Japan, and am continuing to learn every day.
I have also had opportunities to communicate directly with the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer), which as allowed me to experience first-hand the speed of decision-making and the high-level perspective required. Many of our counterparts on the client side are senior leaders, typically at the General Manager level, with reporting lines to Directors and the CISO. Working in this environment keeps me focused and motivated, with a positive sense of challenge.

Our projects involve a wide range of stakeholders, each with different assumptions, priorities, and expectations, making it challenging to find a point of alignment. Discussions often branch in multiple directions, and building consensus requires persistence and steady follow-through.
At the same time, that is exactly what makes the work rewarding. As consultants, we can take an objective view that is not constrained by internal interests, clarify the key issues, and provide the momentum to move initiatives forward. I feel that in stakeholder-rich environments, this is where we can deliver our greatest value.

In my private life, I often spend weekends cheering on my husband, who plays American football. Occasionally, we travel for away games, which can be more than two hours from home. Although the weather can make it tough at times, sharing the excitement of a victory is truly priceless and a meaningful way for me to unwind.
