Planning and Driving Cybersecurity Initiatives
This was a business support project for the security management department at a major securities firm.
One of the most rewarding projects I have worked on was supporting the cybersecurity governance division of a major securities company, where I led the planning and execution of an internal ransomware response exercise.
Through this project, I developed a deep understanding of ransomware attack techniques and incident response processes, including initial containment, recovery decision-making, and business continuity considerations. Leveraging this knowledge, I designed realistic training scenarios tailored to the client’s business operations and technology environment, clearly defining response workflows and key decision points.
Serving as a bridge between cybersecurity and business stakeholders, I facilitated alignment among participants and led the initiative from planning through execution and post-exercise review.
As a result, the exercise was successfully conducted for approximately 200 participants, including senior executives, and contributed to improvements in the client’s business continuity and incident response plans. Receiving positive feedback and appreciation from stakeholders upon project completion was particularly rewarding and reinforced the value of my work.
Identifying Clients’ Core Needs
At my previous employer, a major telecommunications company, I supported clients by providing existing services and solutions to address their business challenges. Since joining BayCurrent, however, I have gained experience in defining challenges alongside clients and designing and implementing tailored security initiatives from the ground up, rather than relying on pre-established solutions.
One of the areas where I have experienced the greatest growth is my ability to consider not only the technical aspects of cyber threats, but also their potential impact on business operations and enterprise risk. This broader perspective has enabled me to approach cybersecurity challenges from both strategic and operational viewpoints.
I believe one of the unique strengths of BayCurrent’s Cybersecurity Focus Group is the opportunity to work alongside clients as a trusted partner, helping enhance organizational resilience through practical and sustainable solutions. The ability to solve complex challenges across technology, business, and management perspectives is what makes this work especially rewarding.
My Vision
I am committed to continuously enhancing my skills so that I can deliver even greater value to clients.
At the same time, I aspire to become a recognized leader in cybersecurity and risk management within BayCurrent, contributing not only to client success but also to strengthening the firm’s overall capabilities and the value we provide to the market.
Private Life
I enjoy good food and good drinks, so I often go to local bars and the like.
I like to refresh myself at the gym and sauna, and when I have free time, I usually spend it reading a wide range of books, from serious literature to manga.
