After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he worked for a major IT company before joining Baycurrent in 2018.
He has experience in a wide range of consulting roles, including sales reform, new business planning, and the implementation of generative AI, primarily in the high-tech, manufacturing, and energy industries.

Why Baycurrent?

When I first started job hunting, I wanted to engage in consulting related to business improvement and similar areas.
I remembered the satisfaction I felt while organizing the operations of a café set up during our school festival as a student.
I realized that knowledge and experience in system construction were essential for business improvement, so I initially joined a systems integrator to gain that experience.
Later, a classmate invited me to Baycurrent. Although I thought I still had a lot to learn about system construction, I decided to listen to the offer and explore how I could expand my knowledge and perspective.
However, during the interview, a Baycurrent employee told me, "If you want to become a consultant, you should start getting accustomed to a consulting mindset early on."
This advice made me feel a sense of urgency. It prompted me to apply to Baycurrent, and through the interview process, I was impressed by the excellence and appeal of the employees, which strengthened my desire to switch jobs. As a result, I decided to take the plunge and make the change.

Career Vision

I aspire to become a consultant who is seen as someone you can rely on by thinking, "If I consult Suzuki-san on this topic, he will get it done." To achieve this, I aim to continue refining my expertise and strive to be a consultant who is approachable and easy to talk to.

Engaged in a Business Improvement Project Long Desired Since Student Days

I participated in a project with a client who was forced to transition to a new system at an electric power company due to the expiration of maintenance. The project involved first properly organizing the current operations and then considering the transition policy to the new system. I encountered many new challenges, but I was well-supported by a mentor-like client, and I spent my days in a tough yet enjoyable environment.

Strong Feelings for Clients Caused Some Setbacks, but These Setbacks Fueled Significant Growth

During the project, a top-down reorganization was proposed. The negative aspects of the top-down reorganization emerged, leading to a lack of consensus among those involved in creating the work and resulting in a difficult situation. Amid this, I focused so much on the interests of the department I was supporting that I made comments without considering the perspectives and positions of others, which led to a reprimand from my superiors. The problem was not only the manner of my comments but also that a third party, who should have remained impartial, became too emotionally invested and took a biased stance. As the number of people involved increased, their interests and perspectives diverged. I realized the importance of understanding others' positions and creating ways of speaking, conclusions, and environments that are easy to accept. Careful dialogue is essential for ensuring that everyone works towards the same goal. I learned that such diligent efforts are crucial behind successful outcomes, and since then, I have been conscious of this approach in my projects. Initially, I felt there were communication issues when I joined Baycurrent, but now I sense that I have earned the trust of multiple clients and have experienced personal growth.

Putting the Client First While Also Having a Third-Party Perspective

In the future, I would like to acquire the ability to set goals and lead the way. Of course, the communication and coordination skills I mentioned earlier are important, but sometimes we become too aligned with the site and the client, which can weaken our perspective as a third party. I would like to gain more knowledge so that we can make better conclusions with our own perspective and insights. Additionally, I feel the need to move to a position where I can create opportunities. All the learning I have mentioned so far was gained in the "stage" where higher-ranking people had repeated discussions with clients and made adjustments. I was promoted to Manager and began making such adjustments myself, and I am grateful for the efforts of my superiors at that time. Moving forward, I feel that I must create such situations, increase the number of consultants who are valuable to our customers, and contribute to the company's further growth.

Private Life

I started singing in a choir when I was in college and have continued even after entering the workforce. It has been 13 years now. We have two or three performances a year, and many people come to see us. I really enjoy drinking after practice. I learn a lot from talking to people in various places and with various professions. I can grow by applying what I've learned to my work and I want to enjoy this as a lifelong hobby.
