Taking on an Unknown Decarbonization Project

One project that particularly impressed me was supporting the formulation of guidelines for promoting decarbonization in companies for government agencies. The decarbonization theme we addressed was an area where many Japanese companies had not yet made significant progress, and it contained many unknowns for our company as well. We designed hypotheses through repeated internal discussions and collected information and validated these hypotheses by interviewing experts, such as leading companies and university professors, and participating in research groups. Our goal was to create guidelines that would be useful for a broad range of companies.

Growing Together and Enjoying the Team Experience

I feel that I have developed the right mindset for tackling unknown themes. I learned about the importance of input and output volumes, the need to improve processing speed, and the process of setting and validating hypotheses. Given my responsibility for a specific area, I approached my work with a sense of responsibility and urgency. In particular, discussions with my superiors revealed perspectives and ways of thinking that I had not previously considered, which broadened my horizons and made me feel personally grown. I also enjoyed the process of working as a team to enhance the quality of deliverables.

Becoming a Consultant Who Can Surprise Clients

In the future, I aim to focus on enhancing the overall results of the team. By leveraging the strengths of each team member, I seek to improve team performance and tackle more complex challenges. I also aspire to be a consultant who can deliver new and unexpected surprises to clients. While this goal might sound abstract, I want to provide a level of excitement and intrigue that goes beyond merely solving problems through projects. To achieve this, I plan not only to acquire knowledge across a broad range of fields but also to cultivate the creativity needed to connect and apply that knowledge in innovative ways.

Private Life

I've been swimming since my student days. Recently, I have been participating in masters competitions with my wife approximately every three months.
It helps relieve the stiffness from desk work and is a great way to refresh myself. Also, the best part is experiencing the momentary tension of a competition, which is a unique aspect not found in my regular job.
